Rådan, the last time I saw her
In the work, a bygone forest is revisited. Skogsrået is there, the ruler of the forest, an alluring female figure in Nordic mythology who is immediately connected with death. Wild and dangerous, she was a threat to human security. Today, the threat has shifted. From skogsrået to the forest companies, from wild and dangerous to a controlled place for production of wood. The work explores the historical change of the forest and man’s relationship to it. Through sculpture, video and sound, an insight is given into a forest about to disappear.
