Anthropomorphic tendencies
Anthropomorphic Tendencies is a project in which I, as a designer, step into the role of a magician, moving between fiction and reality to reveal the hidden narratives of everyday furniture. Inspired by the notion that objects have human-like qualities, I cast magical spells and transform imaginary characters into furniture.
Ra – The one drawn to the sun, who invites you into a dance of lazy, sensual bliss.
Ti – The loyal and feisty one with an immense fear of death, with their burnt legs in order to prevent themselves from rotting.
Oi – The one with all their stolen gatherings exposed to the world, trembling just at the thought of getting caught.
Ka – The unexpected surprise at a party, carelessly free from responsibility for their actions.
This project embraces a new design approach based on fiction as a source of origin; highlighting the anthropomorphic tendencies of furniture and offering alternative perspectives on our daily encounters with them.
