Already as a child I expressed myself through stories, either in pictures or in text. I wrote diary and fairytales, draw families and of course princesses. As an adult I understand that it was a way for me to make safe places, to find a spot for feelings and thoughts to blossom. By expressing them I could make a distance to the things that galled on the inside. This has followed me as an adult.
In this work I have created sculptural objects in tuft that interacts whit different materials on the inside to create a contrast. The feelings that I have explored are like a circus: crazy and happy but also uncomfortable. I have investigated how to create an interactive spatiality in an open space through my sculptures, and also how they can create the feeling of being in a room. I want the playfulness to take form through the colours, the material and the shapes. The visitors also need to be active to explore my work. I want people to be allured by the sculptures. Hopefully they can escape into another world for a while and take a break from everyday life. A form of escapism.
