Pissed Women
During a year, Jessica Ekström has collected 400 liters of her own urine, dressed up as the character of a “woman”. Her body has acted as an artistic tool and Ekström has documented an everyday and equally compulsive ritual.
The suffering that the female role gives rise to is reflected in a loop consisting of three acts. A triptych of moving still images visualizes the collecting, the preparations and finally the cleansing bath. She immerses her undressed body into an aquarium filled with urine.
