Folkhemmet
C-Print, pinewood frame, acrylic glass, wire, analog photographic film, varnish
In Folkhemmet, Wejfeldt focuses on the functionalist buildings and landscapes built in the 60s and 70s. These buildings were identified with the development of the modern welfare system in Sweden. In Wejfeldt’s work, the strict architecture is cut up through analog processes and glued together into new structures that depict new possibilities.
Henrik Wejfeldt uses analog photography and collage to depict spatiality, surface, and form. Architecture and urban planning are frequent themes within Wejfeldts’s practice.
