Jag måste bara få vila en stund
”Jag måste bara få vila en stund” (”I just need to rest for a while”) is a textile work based on the theme of ”being close to someone who is or has been ill”. The project is based on the artist’s own experience and everything that has come with it. Being the one who is forced to stand by when someone close is unwell is anything but easy and this work sheds light on the subject. With a focus on the tactile experience, a rug is created, resembling a resting place for the one standing beside. The project aims to try to meet these people in the emotions that have arisen during the time they have stood by. At the same time, the work serves as a conversation piece in order to raise awareness and create transparency.
