Sonja Margr\u00e9t \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir is researching the life of Haraldur Hamar (1892\u20131957), a poet and dramatist, who was also known as \u2018Iceland\u2019 while living in London in the early 20th century.<\/p>\n

Being a distant relative of \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, the fate of Hamar had fallen into obscurity within the family. By way of historical and sociocultural remnants like texts, photographs and objects connected to Hamar\u2019s life, a scattered story of a peculiar life emerges.
