Scenes from the underworld
Mixed materials: textile, hand-sewn embroidery
Sculptures are constructed in different scenes that have emerged inspired by the underworld and the subconscious. Here, the underworld is used as a metaphor for the unconscious – it is dark and alien, a world that symbolizes the unknown. The subconscious consists of repressed thoughts, feelings, desires, and memories, which we cannot perceive except as traces. The scenes create a story about inner processes.
