The heritage
The work consists of old worn, faded and dirty textiles found in old barns, attics and outhouses. Fabrics that have played out their role, they carry stories that may be difficult to understand at first glance. The large piece of loose linen fabric has acted as a theater curtain on an attic in an outhouse, children in another time have tied it up on a wood pole and then let the curtain fall. My processing of the textiles adds a new layer of history.
