In Bergrummet at Konstepidemin, a medicalized drama with Western ideas about love, state care and control unfolds behind the scenes. In The first image, In Spånga in Solna in Järna, and Sad and thinking, the sensation of the other or new life, the relationship between the body, memory and the hospital is challenged. With aid from the paintings’ abstract imagery, the body refuses to be depicted as and reduced to mere wounded flesh. In Bergrummet, between the earth floor and stone walls, the experiences of the body are allowed to be both thinking, emotional and sensual.
